English to Lithuanian Medical Devices Linguist (Medical Devices)

Location: Lithuania; remote in Europe and worldwide.

What you will do

• Translate medical device and in vitro diagnostics documentation from US English into Lithuanian.
• Perform copy editing and translation review for accuracy, terminology consistency, and project-specific quality requirements.
• Review and address QA feedback and client feedback on linguistic issues.
• Meet agreed deadlines and maintain quality across assigned tasks.
• Work in the client’s memoQ 12.5 or higher environment using the provided license.
• Follow project-specific instructions and workflows with ongoing weekly availability.

Requirements

• Meet at least one education and experience route: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies; another recognized graduate qualification plus at least two years of full-time professional translation experience; or at least five years of full-time professional translation experience.
• At least two years of professional Life Sciences translation experience specifically covering Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostics.
• Proven experience translating relevant medical documentation; patent translation alone is not sufficient.
• Ability to perform both translation and copy editing.
• Mandatory experience with memoQ version 12.5 or higher, with a suitable desktop version installed.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and document editing workflows.
• Professional translation experience, Medical Devices and IVD experience, translated documentation examples, memoQ version experience, translation and copy-editing experience, and email and phone contact details must be clearly reflected in the latest English CV.

Nice to have

• Degree in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Translation, Linguistics, Philology, or a related field.
• In-house experience at a medical device manufacturer, diagnostics company, or Life Sciences organization.
• Experience with ISO standards and quality-controlled translation workflows.

• Translation is paid per word; copy editing is paid per hour or per word depending on task size.
• Smaller copy-editing assignments are paid per word because minimum fees cannot be offered.
• Additional QA feedback checks and client feedback reviews may be included in the initial project scope without a separate purchase order.
• A memoQ license is provided by hirify.global; a free memoQ version is acceptable.
