Latam Spanish Language Specialist (Clinical Translation)

What you will do

• Coordinate assigned translation projects and manage final quality review.
• Perform linguistic tasks including initial translation, revision, and implementation of client feedback.
• Conduct quality checks on clinical documents such as ICFs, protocols, IBs, and patient diaries.
• Develop and maintain terminology, translation memories, and style guides for Latin American Spanish.
• Set and execute global linguistic quality assurance processes for the assigned language.
• Monitor outsourced translation quality using CAT technology, analyze issues, and support quality improvement plans with project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies with significant translation studies from a recognized higher education institution; or a bachelor’s degree in another field and 2 years of translation experience, preferably in medical translation.
• Native language: Spanish, any Latin American variant.
• CAT/TMS tool experience is required.
• Proven terminology and translation memory experience.
• Multitasking, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device translation.
