Environmental Health and Safety Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead hazardous waste reduction, recycling, industrial hygiene sampling, SDS, and Hazard Communication programs.
• Plan and manage environmental and safety training, inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Lead executive and employee safety committees and support strategic EHS initiatives, including the EHS Drive to Zero program.
• Conduct compliance audits, monthly hazardous waste and chemical storage inspections, job safety analyses, and safety observations.
• Perform ergonomic and safety risk assessments, identify risk-reduction controls, and validate physical part ergonomics.
• Investigate injuries, property damage, near misses, releases, and losses; determine root causes and direct corrective and preventive actions. Act as an SAP Super User and support waste-minimization and supply-chain initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of progressive EHS experience, including 3 years of implementing safety-related programs.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or an EHS-related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of waste management regulations.
• Experience implementing lean principles and improvements.
• CHMM, CSP, CIH, or PE certification.
• Previous experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP.
• Experience meeting FTZ and security requirements.
• Experience preparing semi-annual and annual environmental reports, including Tier II, emissions inventory, hazardous waste, TRI, and air permit monitoring reports.
