Senior/Staff Platform Engineer

What you will do

• Own and evolve the cloud platform across AWS, Kubernetes, networking, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
• Improve how engineers build and ship, including local setups, preview environments, and deployments.
• Lead incidents, identify root causes, and ensure fixes remain effective.
• Automate recurring manual work and build self-service tools for engineers.
• Enable safe use of AI agents in engineering through sandboxes and guardrails.

Requirements

• Senior experience as a platform, DevOps, site reliability, infrastructure, or cloud engineer, demonstrated through systems built and operated.
• Production depth in cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience working at a startup or scale-up and owning problems from start to finish.
• Confidence making decisions, explaining them clearly, and challenging approaches when needed.
• Curiosity across cloud providers and tools, with strong learning ability.
• The platform uses AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Node, and TypeScript in an event-sourcing product stack; experience with every listed technology is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience improving developer experience.
• Interest or experience in security or observability.
• Startup or scale-up experience with regulated environments such as fintech, payments, or identity.
