Senior Cloud Engineer (AI Platform)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for autonomous AI agents and workloads across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop standard templates, infrastructure-as-code modules, robust delivery pipelines, and platform guardrails for secure production deployment.
• Build foundational capabilities including vector datastores, identity and access controls, MCP integrations, AI memory infrastructure, observability, token tracing, and FinOps controls.
• Implement zero-trust security practices, prompt-injection defenses, model evaluation controls, and production-readiness gates for AI proofs of concept.
• Manage platform stability, availability, incident response, and disaster recovery while coordinating resolution of major issues.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead technical workshops, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with architects, security teams, stakeholders, and other technology teams.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with cloud infrastructure, networking architecture, automation, and security for AI platforms or workloads.
• Experience with Azure foundations, landing zones, governance, Azure Container Apps, AKS, container registries, Azure DevOps, and Azure networking.
• Knowledge of vector datastores, secure storage encryption, agent identity management, Entra ID, RBAC, and zero-trust access controls.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, infrastructure-as-code module development, CI/CD, scripting, and pipeline automation.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, model security controls, AI observability, token tracing, MCP integrations, and FinOps.
• Ability to work in or regularly attend the Leicester, United Kingdom location under a hybrid arrangement.
