Principal DevSecOps Developer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: Canada (Remote)

What you will do

• Build and maintain security automation workflows that reduce manual processes.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, including AWS security controls, IAM policies, and least-privilege access.
• Build secure system integrations using APIs and scripting.
• Investigate and resolve security risks across cloud infrastructure and internal systems.
• Use AI tools, agents, and MCP integrations to improve security workflows.
• Improve security monitoring, detection, response, and collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, and IT.

Requirements

• Strong programming, scripting, and automation skills in one or more languages.
• Hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM permissions and least-privilege principles.
• Strong Terraform skills, including independently writing and maintaining modules.
• Solid understanding of APIs, authentication, secure integrations, security fundamentals, risk analysis, and cloud security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and technical operations.
• Experience using AI development tools while independently validating generated code; familiarity with AI agents, automation frameworks, or MCP integrations.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tines or other SOAR platforms, CrowdStrike, Okta, Akamai, Sublime Security, Sumo Logic, or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience writing SIGMA or YARA detection rules and understanding event-driven architecture and enterprise IT systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container security, FleetDM, osquery, endpoint security, CI/CD pipeline security, or software supply chain security.
• Knowledge of OWASP principles, including LLM/AI security, and exposure to security compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with GCP, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Threat hunting or security investigation experience.
