DevSecOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: United States; candidates may be based in or able to commute to Littleton, Colorado, with in-office attehirify.globalnce on Tuesdays, or work remotely from elsewhere in the U.S.

Base salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Build, operate, and improve Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS EKS.
• Plan and execute workload migrations onto EKS.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate security checks into delivery workflows.
• Run the SOC 2 program in Vanta, track controls, close gaps, and maintain audit readiness.
• Manage vulnerabilities from container scans and SAST/DAST findings, fixing issues or routing them through GitHub.
• Monitor AWS security alerts, manage access controls and security policies, participate in threat modeling, coordinate penetration tests, and run tabletop exercises.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, SRE, or security engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid working knowledge of AWS, including IAM, networking, and core services.
• Experience planning and executing infrastructure migrations.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or similar tools, and Git-based workflows.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve problems without a playbook.
• Based in or able to commute to Littleton, Colorado, with in-office attehirify.globalnce on Tuesdays, or located in the United States for remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit, or using Vanta or a similar compliance platform.
• Familiarity with AWS security services including GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, and SCPs.
• Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
• Experience with SAST/DAST tools or GitHub Advanced Security.
• Relevant certifications such as CKA or AWS Security Specialty.
