Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with 1 day per week in Edinburgh, UK

hirify.global is recruiting for an organisation implementing a major enterprise-wide AI transformation programme.

What you will do

• Define and implement enterprise architecture governance, standards, controls, decision-making frameworks, and processes for AI platforms and services.
• Support the transition from target-state architecture into practical implementation and adoption.
• Provide architectural oversight across Microsoft Azure, cloud infrastructure, and AI platforms.
• Coordinate architectural decisions across technical teams, technology domains, and business stakeholders.
• Review technical designs, challenge proposed solutions, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and security considerations while ensuring scalable, secure AI platforms aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture.
• Proven experience establishing enterprise architecture governance, standards, and frameworks.
• Experience translating target-state architecture into practical implementation plans.
• Strong understanding of AI platforms, infrastructure, and enterprise adoption requirements.
• Experience coordinating architectural decisions across multiple teams and technology domains.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, architectural risk management, and technical assurance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and challenge senior technical leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting enterprise-wide AI transformation or AI platform adoption programmes.
• Familiarity with agentic AI, AI-enabled software delivery, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience with Azure AI services and associated cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Experience establishing architecture governance in large, complex, or regulated organisations.

• Full-time contract under Inside IR35.
• Initial contract length of 3 months, with potential extension to 6 months.
