Senior Mobile Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with three days per week in the Amsterdam office.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing full-stack engineering organization for mobile applications.
• Partner with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders on the product and technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for mobile and web experiences.
• Drive the evolution of large-scale consumer applications across Android, iOS, and Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Provide technical direction, guide architectural decisions, and balance innovation, maintainability, product needs, and operational reliability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent while ensuring teams have the skills, resources, processes, and tools needed to deliver business outcomes.
• Lead adoption of AI-enabled engineering and product development practices and contribute to engineering excellence across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant software engineering experience, including hands-on mobile application development.
• Strong technical knowledge of modern mobile development across Android and iOS, with experience or understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience delivering high-quality consumer-facing mobile and web products at scale.
• Technical foundation sufficient to guide architecture and engineering decisions while balancing innovation, product needs, maintainability, and operational reliability.
• Passion for emerging technologies and a strong understanding of how AI can transform software development and customer experiences.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

• Experience building mobile applications integrated with vehicles, connected devices, or automotive ecosystems.
