Engineering Manager - Hardware (Robotics)

Location: Eindhoven (Strijp-T), Netherlands; 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Lead, coach and develop Mechanical & Electrical engineers, including performance management and hiring.
• Plan capabilities and capacity for development projects and support engineers’ professional growth.
• Improve hardware engineering ways of working, standards and tooling, including CAD, ECAD, BOM and revision management.
• Strengthen documentation, engineering change processes and peer-review mechanisms.
• Safeguard engineering quality across multiple disciplines, projects and teams.
• Drive improvements in manufacturability, assembly, reliability, serviceability and cost within a matrix organisation.

Requirements

• Strong background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong people management, coaching and performance management skills.
• Experience improving hardware engineering ways of working, standards and tooling.
• Good understanding of manufacturability, reliability and engineering change processes.
• Ability to safeguard engineering quality across multiple projects and teams.
• Comfort balancing capability and capacity needs in a matrix organisation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
