What you will do

• Migrate and adapt existing microservices to Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain backend services primarily in C++ for transaction-intensive, distributed systems.
• Operate and deploy containerized applications in Kubernetes and contribute to CI/CD build, test, and deployment flows.
• Define, develop, test, and deploy data products with teams and data consumers.
• Design event-driven data flows and data structures using Redpanda, a Kafka-compatible streaming platform.
• Troubleshoot and stabilize services and data flows while contributing to logging, traceability, observability, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in system development with C++.
• Experience developing transaction-intensive, distributed backend or microservice-based systems with high stability and availability requirements.
• Experience working with applications in Kubernetes and in a cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD flows for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Experience developing and making data products available with Kafka or a Kafka-compatible streaming platform.
• Ability to independently carry out development tasks in an existing codebase from analysis through testing and deployment.
• Ability to identify information needs and dependencies, propose solutions, and communicate progress, obstacles, and risks.

Nice to have

• Experience in large gaming or finance development projects involving multiple teams working toward a common delivery.
• Experience migrating or modernizing backend services to GCP.
• Experience with Data Mesh, including domain ownership, data contracts, and collaboration with data consumers.
• Practical experience using AI tools in system development, including reviewing and verifying generated results.
• Experience with observability using metrics, logging, and distributed tracing, such as OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with automated delivery flows and GitOps, such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD.

• During the assignment, work will be performed with the client while employed or contracted by hirify.global.
• Development work is carried out within established team working methods, with expectations of rapid onboarding to the existing codebase and technical environment.
