Manager, Machine Engineering (Pulp and Energy)

Location: Preferably Karlstad, Sweden, or Copenhagen, Denmark; other locations in Sweden may also be considered. International travel is required when business needs demand it.

What you will do

• Lead and develop approximately 20 machine engineers located in Karlstad and Copenhagen.
• Ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective engineering deliverables for sales, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.
• Drive a unified global approach to machine engineering, competence development, flexibility, and collaboration.
• Improve engineering processes and ways of working with global engineering leaders and the Engineering Excellence function.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external engineering companies to secure expertise and resources for project delivery and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• M.Sc. degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in machine engineering and a proven track record in resource and team management.
• Broad knowledge of machine engineering practices, project execution, and engineering processes in an industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and change management capabilities.
• Fluent English, both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to travel internationally when business needs require it.
• Ability to lead through change, build trust across teams, motivate and develop engineering talent, and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
