Senior Product Support Engineer (DP/DT)

Location: On-site at the Kinderdijk location, Netherlands; candidates must currently reside in the Netherlands. International travel several times per year is required. Relocation support is not available.

Salary: €4,080–€5,930 gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance.

What you will do

• Maintain and further develop the DP/DT system, which controls vessel actuators, propellers, thrusters, rudders, and power management for dynamic positioning.
• Lead product implementation and commissioning onboard vessels within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Define, coordinate, and validate interfaces with propulsion, power management, and other vessel systems.
• Configure, commission, and troubleshoot automation products for dredging equipment, simulators, and offshore applications.
• Act as a technical reference for complex software issues and advise Product Support, Engineering, Sales, and Service stakeholders.
• Transfer product and operational knowledge through training, documentation, and on-the-job support.

Requirements

• Completed higher vocational or university-level technical education.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in marine, offshore, or industrial automation environments.
• Experience with measurement and control systems, preferably including complex software-based control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex technical issues.
• Customer-oriented and proactive mindset.
• Excellent English and Dutch communication skills at technical and professional levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
• Valid EU work visa required.
• Must currently reside in the Netherlands and be able to work on-site in Kinderdijk.

Nice to have

• Experience with requirements engineering, testing, and commissioning.
• Affinity with software product management and product lifecycle thinking.
