Delivery Director (Automotive)

Location: Remote in Canada or the USA; travel to client locations required as program needs require.

Starting salary: CAD $125,000–$136,000 / USD $160,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead requirements gathering, scope definition, project planning, governance, milestones, resources, and budgets for client engagements.
• Direct delivery teams and monitor execution against plans, methodologies, KPIs, schedules, and quality standards.
• Oversee portfolio-level quality assurance, risk mitigation, forecasting, revenue, margin, and cost control.
• Manage relationships with clients, sponsors, vendors, sales, and internal leadership through transparent reporting, negotiation, escalation, and executive communication.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop project managers and delivery professionals, including remote team members.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying efficiency opportunities and sharing lessons learned across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of project or program delivery experience leading complex, multi-workstream engagements from initiation through completion, with a record of on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, including remote team members, and fostering accountability and high performance.
• Working knowledge of software development lifecycles including Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD, plus general understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk management skills, with the ability to align project objectives with business goals, business impact, ROI, and change management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, senior-audience presentation, negotiation, decision-making in ambiguity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as program needs require.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where employment is offered.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry experience, including work with OEMs or an agency or solution provider serving OEMs.
• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster, or PMI-ACP certification.
