Staff Technology Program Manager (Agentic AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring regular work at CDK's Austin, TX office; candidates must reside within commuting distance.

Base compensation: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential bonus, benefits, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead complex enterprise-wide platform modernization programs, including MyInstall and Agentic AI initiatives.
• Coordinate portfolio planning, scoping, execution, dependencies, risks, budgets, schedules, quality gates, and performance KPIs.
• Develop governance, communication, change-management, and risk-mitigation plans for large, cross-team, multi-year programs.
• Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and business leaders to align roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Track portfolio metrics, resolve conflicts, communicate status to governance boards, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Mentor project managers and lead project initiation, closure, retrospectives, handover, and post-implementation reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing technical programs, projects, and priorities.
• Proven experience leading and delivering Agentic AI initiatives, including coordinating teams to develop, integrate, and operationalize AI agents that produce measurable business outcomes.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Visio.
• Technical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, strategic and creative thinking, and automotive experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting concise ideas to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analysis, conflict management, time management, estimation, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build team morale.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
• Some travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Project Management or Agile certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or CSP.
• Program Management Professional certification (PgMP).
• Experience in an agile software development environment and collaboration with offshore agile teams.
• Strong understanding of technology stacks and product lifecycles.
• Experience collaborating across business and product lines and organizational groups.
• Experience leading complex technical programs across remote cross-functional teams, building business processes, and operating in ambiguous, matrixed environments.
