Director Product Manager, Cloud Infrastructure and AI Networking

Location: Hybrid; work from an HPE office an average of 2 days per week. Locations: Sunnyvale, California, or Roseville, California, United States.

Salary: USD 197,000–420,000 annual base salary in California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Own hardware product strategy, roadmap planning, product definition, and execution for cloud providers, hyperscalers, Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers, and emerging AI Cloud Providers.
• Lead complex hardware and system NPI programs involving hardware systems and network ASICs.
• Translate customer and market requirements into engineering product requirements and drive engineering commitments with sales and systems engineering.
• Assess markets and competitors, prioritize opportunities, and support product and sales collateral.
• Partner with corporate strategy, R&D, sales, and marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
• Build relationships with service-provider and cloud customers and drive customer adoption, revenue, and market share.

Requirements

• 2+ years of people leadership experience in Product Management.
• 10+ years of Product Management experience in IP networking.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in network hardware, systems, and/or network ASICs.
• Experience developing and executing complex strategies across multiple technology domains, geographic markets, and customer sets.
• Ability to analyze competitor products and business strategies in Hyperscaler, Cloud, and Neocloud markets; prioritize competing opportunities and manage trade-offs.
• Strong customer orientation for validating product or solution requirements and building business plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, technical and business presentation skills for executive, partner, analyst, and customer audiences.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of people leadership experience in Product Management.
• MBA or experience successfully running or growing a business.
• Networking software and hardware knowledge, including data-center and WAN networking protocols, network ASICs, and operating systems.
• Experience working with hyperscalers and Neoclouds in the Americas.
