Senior Accountant

Location: Boulder, CO, United States; onsite five days per week

Base salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus annual bonus and equity.

Develops quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms for advanced computational applications.

What you will do

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, project accounting, revenue recognition, and cash and credit card reconciliations.
• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with U.S. GAAP, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting systems.
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to support business decisions and scalable accounting practices.
• Build accounting processes for manufacturing operations, including inventory and cost accounting, and support external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting requirements.
• Independent experience managing month-end close activities.
• Experience developing or improving accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate operational needs into effective financial processes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills.

• Experience building accounting processes or financial infrastructure in a manufacturing organization.
• Experience in a high-growth or multi-location business.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with NetSuite, international accounting, or public companies.
