Senior Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Stockholm, hybrid. Full-time position. Due to the sensitivity of the assignments, applicants must be Swedish citizens, citizens of an EU country, or hold a Swedish work permit.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend infrastructure for internal tools and the unified hirify.global Platform.
• Create scalable, secure backend solutions that meet performance requirements.
• Design and secure RESTful APIs, including authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with frontend components.
• Optimize performance, document technical specifications, and maintain clean, maintainable code.
• Mentor team members and contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a similar backend engineering role.
• Proficiency in Python and C#, with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience developing and securing RESTful APIs, including JWT or OAuth authentication.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as ASP.NET Core.
• Familiarity with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.
• Proficiency with Git, including branching and merging.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as xUnit, debugging tools, Agile teams, and Agile ceremonies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, performance optimization capabilities, and security best practices.
• Experience with AI and automation in business-critical environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with API documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Knowledge of security principles, data encryption, and protection against common threats.
• Ability to facilitate team meetings and Agile ceremonies effectively.
