Senior Backend Engineer (Platform) (AI)

Location: Georgia; fully remote across Europe

What you will do

• Develop and maintain an internal LLM agent framework focused on scalability, processing, and parallelism.
• Ensure system observability and reliability through metrics, tracing, and monitoring tools.
• Adapt the framework for customer use cases and collaborate with ML/NLP teams.
• Build and support automated LLM evaluation pipelines.
• Design backend services with Python and modern cloud-native architecture.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production experience with Python.
• At least 2 years of hands-on production experience with async Python, including FastAPI, aiohttp, or similar frameworks.
• Ability to debug issues across service boundaries.
• Strong product mindset and ability to align technical decisions with product and business goals.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver with evolving requirements and limited upfront specifications.
• Openness to using AI tools in daily development and troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tracing tools such as LangSmith.
