Senior Accountant (Corporate Close)

Location: Tysons, Virginia; employees work from the office 4 days a week.

Base salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Execute month-end and quarter-end corporate close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, accruals, and prepaid expense amortization.
• Support foreign subsidiary accounting, FX translation, intercompany reconciliations and settlements, and international entity consolidation.
• Support inventory accounting, cost of goods sold calculations, inventory reserves, fixed assets, depreciation, disposals, and construction-in-progress transfers.
• Prepare stock-based compensation entries under ASC 718 and related equity reconciliations.
• Support Flash reporting, quarterly flux analysis, controls documentation, audits, board materials, and process-improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, FP&A, HR, Legal, AP, Tax, Payroll, and other business partners; review staff-accountant work and provide guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and the financial close process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to support regular closes under reporting deadlines and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, escalate questions appropriately, prioritize workloads, multitask, and manage time efficiently.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work hands-on and collaboratively in an office-based environment.

Nice to have

• CPA or CPA eligibility.
• Public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
• Experience in SaaS, subscription, or technology industries and in a SOX-compliant environment.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, stock-based compensation, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany eliminations.
• Interest in learning automation and Artificial Intelligence tools.
