IT Business Engineer IB2B (m/f/d) (Retail)

What you will do

• Define, refine, and break down business requirements into user stories and actionable work items with the Product Owner and cross-functional team.
• Analyze business needs, design solution scenarios, and support implementation from concept through delivery.
• Perform data and process analysis, identify optimization opportunities, and document requirements using process flows, diagrams, and test cases.
• Prepare, plan, coordinate, and support product deployments and releases.
• Perform functional and integration testing and contribute to incident analysis and resolution through 2nd-level support.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification with strong technical affinity.
• Professional experience in a similar role and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivery.
• Strong business analysis and requirements engineering skills, including translating business requirements into actionable specifications.
• Experience collaborating with software development teams and managing technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, structured, collaborative, and communication skills for an agile environment.
• Experience with data modeling, SQL, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or DB2.
• Comfort working in an English-speaking international environment.

Nice to have

• Software testing experience and familiarity with Xray, XDM, Spira, or Cypress.
• Basic programming knowledge such as Java and project management experience.
• Experience with merchandise management or ERP systems.
• Retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry experience.
• Knowledge of EDIFACT, XML, or Design Thinking methodologies.
