Summer Student - Investment Analytics (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid with expected onsite presence up to 3 days per week

What you will do

• Collaborate with front-office teams across asset classes to develop analytical solutions using BlackRock Solutions’ Aladdin, Power BI, and WebFOCUS.
• Perform daily and monthly quality control activities to maintain data integrity before information is released to end users.
• Set up portfolios and benchmarks in BlackRock Aladdin.
• Track projects by maintaining logs, monitoring workstream deliverables and deadlines, and coordinating action items with contributors.
• Complete projects and assignments supporting the Investment Data & Analytics team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across organizational areas, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and move project workstreams forward independently.

Nice to have

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, accounting, or a related field.
• Relevant finance coursework and an interest in a career in investment management, preferably portfolio analytics.
• Experience with SQL or VBA.
• Interest in learning BlackRock Aladdin, Power BI, and WebFOCUS.
