Summer Student - Risk Analytics and Reporting (Fintech)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid schedule with expected onsite presence on average up to 3 days per week

What you will do

• Support risk reporting and analytics projects for Voya Investment Management.
• Develop and enhance data visualizations and reporting using SQL, Power BI, WebFOCUS, and SSRS.
• Collect, process, and analyze data for Risk Managers and ongoing risk management activities.
• Support process improvement and reporting automation initiatives with technology partners.
• Assist with updates and edits to investment risk policies.
• Learn from Risk team members and collaborate with business partners across the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• Functional knowledge of or interest in investments and financial markets.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with multiple Risk team members.
• Good technical foundation with databases and programming languages.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SQL, data analysis, databases, or programming languages.
• Familiarity with Power BI, WebFOCUS, SSRS, or other data visualization and reporting tools.
• Interest in investment management, financial markets, risk management, and data analytics.
