VP of Finance (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2–3 days per week in person at a hub in New York, Washington DC, Austin, or San Francisco; full-time remote is not available.

Annual US base salary: $300,000–$325,000, based on experience and location, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global provides API-based connectivity to consumer financial accounts, liability data, and payment execution for financial institutions and consumer applications.

What you will do

• Lead Finance, Accounting, Business Operations, and Revenue Operations, including team performance, priorities, and development.
• Own finance and accounting process management, including process design, system scaling, controls, and transitions.
• Manage external auditors and finance vendors and provide fluent financial reporting to the board.
• Extend forecasting and business metrics frameworks in partnership with the outgoing finance lead.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and other functional leaders on approval processes, margin projects, and cross-functional execution.
• Lead high-impact projects such as board preparation, audits, and potential corporate development or acqui-hire initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of finance experience with a rigorous analytical foundation, ideally including investment banking followed by operating roles inside a company.
• 5+ years of people management experience, including running a finance or combined finance and accounting function with ownership of the team, systems, and processes.
• Proven ability to build processes and systems at scale, ideally in a company with large transaction volumes.
• Demonstrated success aligning teams across silos toward shared outcomes.
• Strong relationships with Sales, Engineering, and other functional leaders, with the influence to advance projects without escalating every decision.
• Confident communication with boards, auditors, and external vendors.
• Willingness to work hands-on with imperfect systems and operational details.
• Ability to work in person from one of the company hubs in New York, Washington DC, Austin, or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or another business involving complex money movement.
• Experience leading a company through a first or second annual audit.
• Corporate development or M&A experience, including acqui-hires.
• Experience at a Series B–D startup during rapid scaling.
