Product Manager - 529 Prepaid (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in-office role based in New York City, Austin, or King of Prussia, United States.

Base salary: $135K–$145K per year, plus eligibility for the Company Bonus Pool and new hire equity.

What you will do

• Own defined functional areas of a greenfield prepaid tuition 529 recordkeeping and saver experience from discovery and requirements through testing and launch.
• Translate stakeholder goals into buildable features, business and functional requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Partner with engineering to break requirements into stories and provide iterative feedback, including bug identification and resolution.
• Complete functional testing and provide product sign-off for production releases.
• Coordinate with operations, servicing, client teams, QA, design, marketing, and other partners to ensure operational readiness.
• Track progress, risks, open questions, and tradeoffs while using data to validate assumptions and investigate issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Product Management experience.
• Strong business and systems analysis skills, including thorough documentation of business and functional requirements and use cases.
• Experience working through the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment and meet deadlines under tight time constraints.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across Product, Engineering, QA, and Operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with SQL and data integrations, including APIs, JSON, XML, or file-based integrations.

Nice to have

• FinTech or financial services experience, especially recordkeeping, payments, or transaction-based systems.
• Experience with 529, ABLE, or other government savings programs.
• Experience building internal or operational tools.
• Comfort using AI tools in a day-to-day Product Management workflow.
