Associate Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: NYC, United States; onsite

Target compensation: $133K–$160K annually, plus equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off.

What you will do

• Own a defined banking product feature area from problem framing and specification through launch and outcome measurement.
• Collaborate daily with Design and Engineering, providing clear feedback on flows and edge cases and running launches end to end.
• Involve Compliance and Operations early to support launches in a regulated financial product.
• Talk with founders and finance teams, review support tickets, and incorporate customer insights into product decisions.
• Define success metrics, pull and analyze data, and communicate what worked and what did not.
• Use frontier AI models to test ideas, build prototypes, analyze feedback, and draft specifications.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in product, engineering, data, consulting, banking, a startup, or a customer-facing role, or experience starting something independently.
• Analytical approach with comfort using SQL, spreadsheets, and numbers, including checking your own work.
• Daily use of AI and the ability to show something built with it.
• Clear writing skills and the ability to explain a complex problem in one page.
• Ability to accept feedback and act on it quickly.
• Strong ownership, including fixing broken situations or finding the right person to resolve them.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ACH, card networks, KYC/KYB, or reconciliation.
• Technical background or coding experience.
• Experience at a bank or fintech.
• Startup experience.
