Product Manager - Reference Data (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship and must be authorized to start work in the U.S. on the first day.

Base salary range: $122,000–$182,000 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build data-driven products for market data and the hirify.global Security Master, supporting adoption, commercial growth, vendor data profiling, use-case validation, and opportunity discovery.
• Conduct data investigations, ad hoc SQL queries, and structured analyses to inform prioritization, requirements, and product decisions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, reporting, and self-service dashboards covering dataset profitability, vendor licensing costs and revenue, pipeline health, feed coverage, and commercial activity.
• Develop repeatable tooling and workflows for vendor usage reporting, licensing reconciliation, and entitlement tracking.
• Productize monitoring for market data pipelines and operational dashboards, triaging feed errors and escalating actionable issues to Operations and R&D.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate Reference Data product outcomes and analytical workflows.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a product owner, data analyst, business analyst, or product analyst, ideally in financial services or a data-intensive SaaS environment.
• Strong SQL skills, including confidently writing complex queries for investigation rather than reporting only.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analytical work and deliver outcomes tied to business needs.
• Ability to combine Salesforce, finance, and operational data into coherent, trustworthy reporting; experience with data pipelines, dashboards, or automation in Databricks or similar platforms is a plus.
• Experience with customer and usage analytics; familiarity with financial data vendors, vendor licensing, or data entitlements is a plus.
• Knowledge of financial data concepts such as asset classes, security-level concepts, reference data, and pricing, or willingness to learn them.
• Builder and self-starter mindset, with a focus on making repeatable work scalable through reliable tools and automation.
• Clear communication skills for documenting findings, processes, and tools and presenting analysis to diverse audiences.
