Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (AdTech)

Location: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, or Ventura, United States

Base salary: $164,900–$302,400 USD annually, plus potential stock-based and variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, hire, coach, and plan succession for a team of financial analysts and managers.
• Own the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, company-level budgets, headcount allocation, and OPEX targets.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on cost and investment trade-offs and advise senior business leaders.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Investor Relations on business and reporting decisions.
• Build and evolve financial models, reporting, planning tools, automation, self-service analytics, and data-quality improvements.
• Communicate complex financial insights clearly to executives and non-finance audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field, including 5+ years leading teams at a public company.
• Proven experience advising senior executives and influencing VP- and C-suite-level decisions.
• Deep expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling for a high-growth or technology business.
• Strong command of Excel, EPM platforms, modern planning and BI tools, and large datasets.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Track record of building high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive, accountable culture.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or CFA.
• Experience in advertising technology or digital media.
