Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (Retail)

Location: West Hollywood, CA (Hybrid); must work from the Corporate Office at least 60% of the time.

Base salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan.

What you will do

• Own the FP&A function’s direction, capability roadmap, reporting, forecasting, planning processes, systems, and deliverables.
• Lead annual budget and forecast cycles, develop assumptions and timelines, and align planning with Unilever Prestige cycles.
• Own P&L assumptions, monitor KPIs and spending, assess risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership.
• Prepare financial reporting and business reviews across business units, channels, and geographies, including recurring omnichannel profitability by customer, door, category, and commercial line.
• Build financial models, manage retail pricing and inflation analysis, and drive automation, systems integration, process improvement, and technology initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and motivate the FP&A team while partnering with business leaders and the Controller on controls and audit recommendations.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment in beauty, luxury goods, or consumer packaged goods.
• Full P&L ownership, including revenue, gross-margin drivers, and operating expenses across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
• Hands-on experience in beauty, consumer packaged goods, or retail, including channel mix, sell-in versus sell-out, and category dynamics.
• Four-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience leading and developing teams, building team capability and structure, and collaborating across departments.
• Strategic, autonomous, and proactive decision-making with the ability to anticipate risks, assess P&L impact, influence senior leaders, negotiate, and hold difficult conversations.
• Executive-level communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into concise narratives for non-finance leaders.
• Experience implementing processes, driving transformation, and building or scaling an FP&A function in a growing or matrixed organization.
• Strong proficiency in Adaptive Insights, Power BI, and advanced Excel modeling, with the ability to adapt to new financial systems and tools.
