Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote-first. Office spaces are available in San Jose, California and Draper, Utah.

Estimated annual salary: $101,700–$149,625 USD depending on geographic zone, experience, expertise, and location.

What you will do

• Partner with department leaders on financial planning, headcount, vendor spending, and investment priorities.
• Prepare expense reporting and recommendations for the CFO and senior leaders.
• Run annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, including operating expense planning and variance analysis.
• Lead the FP&A portion of month-end close, including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and budget-to-actual commentary.
• Analyze vendor and category spend, contract commitments, and run-rate trends with Procurement and budget owners.
• Redesign repetitive accrual, reporting, and forecasting workflows using AI tools and automation.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting, including hands-on month-end close experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong accounting fundamentals covering accruals, prepaids, expense recognition, capitalization, and opex versus capex.
• Ability to manage close deadlines, reconcile work, identify incorrect figures, and explain budget-to-actual variances.
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior business leaders.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude to automate analysis, reporting, or finance workflows, with the judgment to validate outputs.
• Working knowledge of ERP and planning systems such as NetSuite and Adaptive Planning.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to pull data from ERP and planning systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to turn complex results into concise recommendations.
