Senior Salesforce Engineer (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL; in-office work required Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Annual salary: $98,000–$130,000 for Senior Salesforce Engineer I or $108,000–$140,000 for Senior Salesforce Engineer II. Additional bonus compensation may apply.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components.
• Build scalable event-driven solutions using Platform Events and Change Data Capture.
• Develop and maintain API integrations with external systems and services.
• Collaborate on Salesforce data modeling, data integrity, performance optimization, and Flow updates.
• Debug production issues, resolve operational problems, mitigate risks, and deliver reliable solutions with engineers, admins, architects, Product Management, Sales, and Operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Deep understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components, API development, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven design, including Platform Events and Change Data Capture.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling and performance optimization.
• Strong coding, debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities across multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and cross-functional teams.
• Experience using AI tools to improve development workflows with sound judgment.
• Passion for continuous learning and growth; Salesforce Platform Developer I/II certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Platform Developer II, Integration Architecture Designer, or Data Architecture certification.
• Experience with Salesforce CI/CD using SFDX, Jenkins, or similar tools.
