Multi Skilled Engineer - Endpoint & Windows Platform - Hampshire (Windows)

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom; on-site 5 days a week. The role requires eligibility for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, applicable residency requirements, the right to work in the United Kingdom, and potentially nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, patch, optimize, and maintain Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage RDS components and secure, troubleshoot, and optimize RDP connectivity, certificates, encryption, NLA, and Group Policy controls.
• Administer SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Ivanti, endpoint health, software distribution, patching, compliance baselines, and disaster-recovery validation.
• Package, test, and deploy applications; manage OS imaging, boot images, drivers, task sequences, upgrades, bare-metal deployments, and refresh cycles.
• Automate patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance with PowerShell and applicable automation tools; develop SQL and SSRS reports.
• Lead major-incident root-cause analysis, maintain CMDB records and runbooks, and mentor L1/L2 engineers.

Requirements

• Advanced Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 administration, including Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on RDS administration and RDP security and troubleshooting across Session Host, Connection Broker, Gateway, Web Access, and Licensing.
• Proficiency in Windows client operating systems, networking, and endpoint security.
• Expert SCCM/MECM knowledge covering hierarchy, client deployment, site maintenance, task sequences, ADRs, and compliance baselines.
• WSUS and enterprise patch-management experience, plus Ivanti or a comparable endpoint and patch-management platform.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting, with advanced SQL and SSRS reporting skills.
• DV Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 4–8+ years of experience in Windows Server/OS, SCCM/MECM administration, and endpoint/patch management.
• High professional English proficiency is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and escalation-management skills.

Nice to have

• FSLogix, user-profile management, VDI, RDS farm scaling, and load-balancing experience.
• Software packaging tools such as AdminStudio, Wise, or App-V, and monitoring tools for large SCCM infrastructures.
• Windows Server virtualization with VMware vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, or Nutanix, plus Ansible or PowerCLI automation.
• CIS security baselines, system hardening, ITSM compliance, Microsoft or Ivanti certifications, and ITIL Foundation.
