Material & Warehouse Coordinator

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory, storage, goods receipt, picking, packing, loading, shipping, and stock transfers.
• Maintain accurate records for spare parts, equipment, bin locations, cycle counts, inventory logs, SAP, and warehouse systems.
• Coordinate with plant teams, the Logistics Team, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to resolve backlogs and support on-time delivery.
• Support spare-parts replenishment for major maintenance activities, including plant shutdowns, and advise stakeholders on asset availability.
• Maintain warehouse safety, health, quality, environmental compliance, security, equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and space utilisation.
• Provide out-of-hours call-out support, represent the warehouse manager when required, and train apprentices and new supervisors.

Requirements

• GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above.
• An external qualification in warehouse operations, a recognised apprenticeship, or proven warehouse-operation skills.
• Previous experience in a relevant commercial or operational field.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
• IT literacy with experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach, a positive attitude, flexibility in supporting business and project spare-parts requirements, and the ability to work under pressure during stock counts and audits.
• Valid driving licence.
• The ability to work alone on site when required.

Nice to have

• Level 3 or 4 qualification in warehousing or from the Institute of Supply Chain Management.
• Valid counterbalance forklift operator’s licence.
• Knowledge of spare-parts and equipment operations involving HYCO, ASU, HPN, VSA, helium PG, pipelines, and electrical equipment.
