Materials Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead the Materials Management team and develop current and next-generation leadership talent.
• Drive lean material flow process development, standardization, implementation, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and warehousing operations.
• Maintain MRP performance reporting covering inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and excess and obsolete inventory reduction.
• Use ERP systems and analytical capabilities to create planning reports and resolve materials and production planning problems.
• Lead projects involving material consumption synchronization, efficient conveyance routes, point-of-use presentation, value-stream analysis, and process automation.
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, sales, and SIOP teams to meet customer requirements while controlling inventory, shortages, waste, and costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and seven or more years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience leading others directly or through project work, including mentoring team members.
• Relevant industry certifications and purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Effective communication, strong organization, attention to detail, time management, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
• Proficiency with web-based applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to travel 25%.
