Senior Editorial & Search Strategy Manager (SEO & GEO)

Location: Hybrid; three days per week in the Hammersmith London office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Define the editorial tone of voice and journalistic standards across web and app platforms.
• Lead organic discovery through technical SEO, semantic search, site taxonomy, and Generative Engine Optimisation across AI search platforms and LLM answer engines.
• Own editorial analytics, including engagement time, scroll depth, organic click-throughs, and LLM citation frequency, to improve ticket conversion, app downloads, and CRM capture.
• Advise PR, Brand, Social, and Marketing teams on search intelligence, audience intent, and LLM behaviour.
• Oversee the podcast network, deep-read features, media syndication, publishing workflows, and editorial standards.
• Line-manage and mentor the Editorial Executive while building a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Significant progressive experience leading digital editorial desks, publishing platforms, or digital content strategies in sports, live entertainment, major media publishing, or global culture brands.
• Proven expertise in advanced SEO and GEO, including semantic search, LLM answer-engine optimisation, site taxonomy architecture, and technical audits.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills, with evidence of turning data into editorial strategies that improve dwell time, organic traffic, and ticket discovery.
• Structured operating style, ability to work at speed, and commitment to accuracy, tone, workflows, and journalistic standards.
• Ability to connect editorial work with PR, social deep-links, app traffic, and commercial campaigns.
• Proven people-management and coaching experience, including developing junior talent, supporting team morale, and fostering a growth mindset.
• Ability to work three days per week in the Hammersmith London office.
