Staff Fullstack Engineer, Product (Hospitality)

Location: Remote role associated with Durham, United States

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 base per annum plus meaningful Series A equity

Series A startup building a modern operating system for the hospitality industry: a two-sided marketplace, automated accounts payable, and bill-pay platform used by hospitality groups and suppliers.

What you will do

• Design and ship marketplace and inventory features across Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, and React, including catalog search, ordering, and approvals.
• Build supplier-facing workflows for listing management and customer acquisition.
• Create custom AI-assisted experiences and integrations for marketplace and inventory management.
• Own the data model connecting orders, suppliers, buyers, and catalogs.
• Professionalize the product and codebase for high-volume data while maintaining rapid delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years shipping production systems as a senior- or staff-level full-stack engineer.
• Deep, current Ruby on Rails expertise, including monoliths, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq.
• Strong product instincts with a front-end lean and sufficient backend depth for robust data modeling.
• Ability to own features from ideation through production in a small, high-ownership team.
• React experience is welcome.

• Experience with marketplaces, commerce, hospitality, or payments.
