Senior Product Engineer (AI)

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Own full-stack product development from problem discovery and solution design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Build user-facing applications, backend services, APIs, data models, and third-party integrations.
• Partner with Product, Design, and operational stakeholders to understand users, resolve ambiguity, and make product decisions.
• Develop reliable workflow automation covering state management, validation, routing, notifications, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Improve testing, CI/CD, observability, code review, and production reliability.
• Use AI coding agents and evaluate AI-assisted product capabilities while maintaining reliability, auditability, and human oversight.

Requirements

• Typically 5–7 years of production full-stack engineering experience, or equivalent evidence of significant technical ownership and impact.
• Strong TypeScript and PostgreSQL expertise across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Particular strength in backend engineering, data modeling, system design, and reliable production software.
• Advanced practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools and agents in day-to-day engineering.
• Experience owning products or features from ambiguous requirements through deployment and measurable outcomes.
• Strong product judgment, user understanding, sensible UX tradeoffs, and effective collaboration with non-technical teams.
• Experience in an early-stage startup, founding engineering environment, or similarly lean, fast-moving team.
• Ability to independently own technical delivery across backend services, APIs, integrations, and production operations while maintaining sound engineering standards.
