Location: Palaiseau, Île-de-France, France; primarily onsite in the laboratory, with up to 30% of the internship dedicated to Python development from the office

Internship allowance: €1,200–€1,400 per month

What you will do

• Operate and enhance lithography modules that deterministically select quantum dots for single-photon source fabrication.
• Work experimentally in the laboratory as part of the single-photon source fabrication team.
• Support R&D and production of InAs quantum-dot-based single-photon sources for photonic quantum computing.
• Develop Python code for lithography-related activities, potentially spending up to 30% of the internship on office-based development.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physics, preferably with a background in semiconductors and optics.
• Knowledge of optical alignment, optical design, and laser physics.
• Python programming skills.
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Fast adaptation and the ability to work in a large team.
