Path Planning and Control of a Pseudo-Omnidirectional Wheeled Vehicle - Internship Toulouse (F/M) (Robotics)

Location: Toulouse, France; hybrid setup with 2 days of remote work per week

Compensation: €1,200 gross per month, plus restaurant vouchers and CSE benefits.

hirify.global develops autonomous vehicle technology for heavy-duty driverless vehicles used in airports, logistics, and industrial sites. Its software supports Level 4 autonomous driving, vehicle perception, navigation, and control.

What you will do

• Develop a steering method for planning maneuver trajectories.
• Develop a multi-input multi-output controller for commanding the vehicle’s four steerable wheels.
• Integrate the new pseudo-omnidirectional steering modality into maneuver execution.
• Test the steering modality in a simulated environment.

Requirements

• Master’s-level engineering student or equivalent, focused on robotics, autonomous systems, or software engineering.
• Programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Knowledge of control theory.
• English and French language skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS or similar middleware.
• Knowledge of robotics topics such as navigation and path planning.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work on complex, multidisciplinary challenges.
