Battery Testing Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France; onsite position in Product Design Engineering.

What you will do

• Develop automated battery tests, including specification, procurement, and validation.
• Work with battery test benches and testing laboratory software.
• Process and analyze test data using automation tools such as Python and Matlab.
• Support product development, validation, and safety activities.
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or engineering degree in electrical, automation, electronics, automotive, or a similar engineering field.
• Apprenticeship experience or at least 2 years of experience in an industrial company.
• Understanding of electrical circuitry and electrical risks.
• Experience with automated test development, including specification, procurement, and validation.
• Experience with testing laboratory software, automation, and data processing tools such as Python or Matlab.
• Experience with product development, validation, and safety.
• Understanding of root cause and corrective action methodologies.
• Strong communication, autonomy, and proactivity.
• English at CEFR B2/C1 level, with the ability to communicate and read technical subjects.

Nice to have

• Experience with battery test bench software such as FEV MORPHEE, Biologic BT-Test, or Landt MonLanhe.
• Experience with Li-ion cell testing.
