Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining)

Location: Kinderdijk, Netherlands; candidates must be based in the Netherlands or hold a valid EU work permit.

Gross monthly salary: €4,500–€6,250, plus 8% holiday allowance.

What you will do

• Define system-level electrical power and control philosophies for mining equipment and subsea vehicles.
• Develop conceptual and basic designs covering power distribution, safety philosophy, system architecture, and functional architectures.
• Perform load calculations, high-level cable sizing, power system studies, and system behavior assessments.
• Prepare functional specifications, block diagrams, single-line diagrams, and interface documents.
• Integrate electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, and hydraulic systems into reliable solutions.
• Support FAT/SAT, system validation, work-package coordination, and innovation in electrical and automation technologies.

Requirements

• Higher professional education in Electrical Engineering and experience with concept and basic design.
• Proven experience in similar or related roles; the position is not suited for junior or entry-level applicants.
• Experience defining power and control philosophies, power distribution concepts, system integration, and functional architecture.
• Experience with load calculations, high-level cable sizing, and power system analyses.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams with global stakeholders and colleagues in Brazil, South Africa, and Australia.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience in mining, offshore, maritime, or heavy equipment is a plus; oil and gas downstream or petrochemical experience is encouraged.
