Member of Technical Staff, Compute (AI)

Location: San Francisco, onsite

Base salary: $300,000–$400,000 per year, plus a meaningful equity grant and competitive benefits.

What you will do

• Bring new GPU clusters from delivery to production and maintain fleet health throughout their lifecycle.
• Design scheduling and allocation approaches so pretraining, reinforcement learning, and inference share compute capacity effectively.
• Build reliability mechanisms that detect failing hardware and route workloads around it before training runs are affected.
• Plan future compute capacity with research teams and help determine what to purchase, from which providers, and when.
• Measure GPU-hour output and continuously improve utilization.
