Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: United States, California; Bay Area preferred

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 base plus equity

What you will do

• Own and evolve infrastructure as code across a complex Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Lead cloud security and compliance readiness, including technical foundations for SOC 2.
• Build observability, monitoring, alerting, and production visibility from an early-stage baseline.
• Improve CI/CD and deployment workflows while maintaining reliability and security.
• Design secure, multi-tenant cloud architecture with strong data separation.
• Contribute to reproducible, traceable, scalable, and secure data orchestration, internal tooling, and Python automation.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and production GCP environments.
• Strong Terraform expertise, including modules, state management, environments, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Experience hardening cloud environments and designing security-first production systems.
• Practical observability experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, or alerting systems, ideally in a startup context.
• Experience owning CI/CD, deployment safety, platform reliability, or developer productivity.
• Ability to work across cloud infrastructure, security, observability, CI/CD, data orchestration, and tooling.
• Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where priorities shift across infrastructure, security, DevOps, data, and tooling.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to set technical standards without heavy process or ego.

Nice to have

• Startup or zero-to-one platform engineering experience.
• Security-first cloud architecture experience.
• Experience with data lineage and data observability.
