Manufacturing Engineer: Automation

hirify.global AB is offering a consulting assignment within Manufacturing Engineering.

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end manufacturing concepts, process flows, station breakdowns, and production-system architecture for High Voltage Battery Assembly.
• Define automation levels, line architecture, material flow, buffers, interfaces, operating principles, cycle-time assumptions, capacity logic, and bottleneck strategies.
• Translate product and process requirements into RFQ-ready technical specifications and coordinate robotics, controls, mechanical equipment, quality, traceability, IT/OT, logistics, and facility interfaces.
• Evaluate supplier concepts and lead technical RFQ clarifications and design reviews.
• Perform feasibility, risk, and trade-off assessments covering quality, timing, footprint, flexibility, and cost.
• Support virtual verification, installation, commissioning, ramp-up, and production-readiness activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automated manufacturing concepts and production-system architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and robotics integration.
• 3+ years of experience with RFQ processes, equipment supplier development, and technical design reviews.
• 3+ years of experience with cycle-time, capacity, feasibility, and bottleneck analysis.
• 3+ years of experience integrating controls, mechanical equipment, and manufacturing interfaces.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience relevant to the assignment.

Nice to have

• High Voltage Battery Assembly or electrified powertrain manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, or equivalent virtual manufacturing tools.
• PLC/controls and functional-safety understanding.
• MES, traceability, or industrial IT/OT integration experience.
• Greenfield or brownfield automotive commissioning and launch experience.
