Application Tech Lead (Automotive)

What you will do

• Set technical direction and guide architectural decisions for application-layer automotive software.
• Lead delivery across connectivity, ADAS and perception, HMI and infotainment, reference applications, and developer tooling.
• Align application software with the broader software-defined vehicle platform architecture and customer expectations.
• Define engineering standards, code quality practices, review processes, unit-testing strategies, and software quality processes.
• Translate business priorities and customer needs into technical plans and coordinate dependencies and delivery across teams and labs.
• Provide hands-on engineering, architectural guidance, and technical leadership while influencing without direct people-management authority.

Requirements

• Experience as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, Software Architect, or in a comparable senior technical role.
• Experience with connectivity, ADAS, perception, infotainment, or developer platform technologies.
• Extensive hands-on C++ embedded software development experience in automotive or another safety-critical or quality-critical industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based embedded systems.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and application-layer design for embedded systems.
• Experience defining and enforcing engineering standards, code quality practices, review processes, unit-testing strategies, and software quality processes.
• Experience configuring and integrating AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive.
• Sound technical judgement, clear communication, pragmatic delivery, constructive challenge, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with software-defined vehicle platforms.
• Experience working directly with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or software platform vendors.
• Experience with commercial product development, business cases, and customer-facing technical engagements.
