Senior Software Engineer (C++)

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain primarily C++ software for linear accelerator systems and radiation therapy products.
• Build embedded software solutions running on embedded real-time operating systems to control treatment devices and support safe radiation delivery.
• Contribute to software design, implementation, technical documentation, and new product features.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to reliable, maintainable software.
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate with software engineers, and contribute to agile scrum ceremonies.
• Follow established quality and development processes and deliver continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with C++ and a good understanding of software development principles.
• Interest in writing clean, safe, and maintainable code.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a development team.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in embedded real-time systems, control systems, or communication protocols such as CAN or EtherCAT.
• Experience with CMake and build systems, unit and integration testing, or test frameworks, simulators, and emulators.
• Software development experience in a regulated environment such as medical technology.
• Swedish language skills.
