Experience Embedded Software Developer (Avionics)

What you will do

• Define, analyse, and manage avionics system requirements.
• Break down system-level requirements into software development and verification levels while maintaining lifecycle traceability.
• Develop and maintain requirement specifications and verification plans.
• Allocate system requirements to software and hardware components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify and resolve requirement ambiguities.
• Ensure compliance with DO-178C and improve requirements quality and traceability.

Requirements

• Experience working according to the V-model and deep understanding of DO-178C, particularly its application to requirements engineering.
• Proven experience as a Requirements Engineer in the avionics, automotive, or embedded systems industry.
• Strong knowledge of requirements engineering methodologies and tools, including DOORS or Jama.
• Knowledge of avionics software development processes and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills.
• Successful completion of security vetting is required; additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety-critical software development and certification processes.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Relevant certifications in systems engineering, avionics, or related fields.
