Software / Hardware Integration Intern (Quantum Computing)

Location: Massy, Île-de-France, France; onsite workplace with a possibility of remote work

Internship allowance: €1,200–€1,400 per month

hirify.global develops quantum computing hardware and software, with a focus on fault-tolerant quantum computing, scalable solutions, and energy-efficient data centers.

What you will do

• Write Python instrumentation code to automate parts of tomography, g(2), HOM, lifetime, coherence-time, and related experimental setups.
• Automate measurement procedures such as rotating waveplates by the correct amount, order, and timing.
• Help test spin-photon sources and determine whether photons have suitable single-photon, indistinguishability, and entanglement properties.
• Support setup integration and construction if the experimental setup is behind schedule.
• Prepare written reports on the work and results.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (M2) in Physics or a related field.
• Knowledge of optics, predominantly polarization.
• Knowledge of quantum mechanics; understanding the meaning of the measurements is helpful for the role.
• Python skills, primarily for instrumentation with limited data analysis.
• Autonomy and ability to work independently.
• Fluent French or English, with at least professional or scientific working proficiency in English.
