Cloud Engineer (AWS/GCP)

Location: Hybrid, Cluj, Romania, with a blend of working from home and the Cluj office.

What you will do

• Build, manage and improve AWS and GCP cloud capabilities, with a focus on automation and continuous delivery.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters and other container platforms.
• Build self-service capabilities for teams deploying resources into AWS and GCP.
• Consult with product teams on infrastructure best practices and automation.
• Maintain common pipelines, production paths, shared standards and operational practices.
• Align platform vision with infrastructure strategies, Open Source technologies and vendors while sharing knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD automation, configuration management and release engineering.
• Expert-level Kubernetes knowledge, including deploying, scaling, monitoring and securing production clusters.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in provisioning, networking, security and cost optimization; AWS experience is required and GCP is listed as nice to have.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana or Dynatrace.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex distributed systems and supporting infrastructure decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
