Senior Engineer - Cloud (AI)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services, REST APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and customer-facing and internal web application infrastructure.
• Build cloud infrastructure and automation across AWS, Azure, or GCP, supporting scalability, security, high availability, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Design distributed database, caching, ETL, ingestion, and analytics solutions using large-scale data stores and OLAP systems.
• Troubleshoot distributed architectures, resolve performance and reliability issues, and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and service visibility.
• Partner with UX/UI, Sensors, DevOps, and other teams to define priorities, technical vision, documentation, and integrated solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while developing incident response procedures and operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages such as Golang or Python, with strong algorithms, data structures, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of production experience with large-scale distributed systems, including microservices, scalable REST APIs, distributed communication, concurrency, parallel processing, and scalability patterns.
• Experience troubleshooting complex distributed architectures and building data platforms with distributed ETL or ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency with message queues such as Kafka and distributed databases or caches such as OpenSearch, Cassandra, Redis, or Valkey; experience with OLAP systems and large-scale analytical problems.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge across AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience integrating AI tools into software development lifecycle pipelines, using AI-powered development tools, applying secure AI-assisted development practices, coordinating AI agents, and conducting AI-based code reviews.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Experience with testing, code reviews, fault tolerance, resilient architecture, technical decision-making, collaboration, and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch, SQL, Redis, or Apache Pinot.
• Cybersecurity or intelligence industry experience.
• Graph database knowledge, including nodes, edges, and relationships.
• Open-source contributions or technical community involvement.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Partial qualification coverage is acceptable when accompanied by a passion for cybersecurity.
